5 days until the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Demo

Thursday’s Nintendo Direct brought a ton of good news for Nintendo fans. Among those was the announcement of a Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Demo arriving soon to both the 3Ds and Wii U eShops. However, we didn’t have the information on when the demo would be made available to download. Well, know we know.

Have ready your Nintendo console of choice and prepare to boot it up this February 21, because in just five days a glimpse of the challenging adventure of Capcom’s Monster Hunter franchise will be waiting for you in your system’s eShop.

Digital promotion in Europe for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

In a move to encourage digital distribution and the advantages of the eShop, Nintendo of Europe have announced a new promotion for its digital store.

The promotion which started yesterday and will last until 2pm on February 21st consists of a £10 discount for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, leaving the game available at the reduced price of £19.99.

If you haven’t bought the game yet this is the perfect opportunity for you to grab it. Upon its original release on the Nintendo 64 Ocarina of Time was praised as the best game ever created. Follow Link’s journey as he travels through time in his quest to stop the evil Ganondorf and rescue Princess Zelda. Do not miss this adventure.

Just don’t forget that this promotion only applies when buying the game through the 3DS’ eShop.

3DS Downloads of the Week

Yesterday new software arrived to the 3DS eShop. Let’s take a look at the new games you can start downloading right now.

First up we have three Nintendo 3DS launch titles: Rayman 3D, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 3D and Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 3D. Individual value for each of them is $29,99. But PES Socer 2013 won’t be available until February 12.


Next we have a new entry of the crazy popular Brain Age series. The new game is called Brain Age: Concentration Training and will be ready for your 3DS system on February 10 for a price yet to be determined.

On the retro side of things you can head to the eShop and purchase the classic NES game Mega Man 2 for five bucks or revisit the last generation of Nintendo handhelds and  try out Ah! Heaven for $1,99. Here’s the official description of Ah! Heaven in case you haven’t heard of it:

“Ah! Heaven, is a platform game developed with an Eastern ink painting style. You play as a soul willing to ascend to heaven. Though heaven’s gate is open, God will not take you there, you have to go by yourself. You will meet all kinds of danger in your journey; Can you get through it to make your ascension?”

And if you enjoy playing old-school RPG’s don’t forget to try Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan demo free of charge.


Last but not least the recently released Fire Emblem Awakening is already getting DLC content in the form of:

  • Champions of Yore 1 – Battle to get Prince Marth to join your team! (Free for a limited time).
  • Champions of Yore 2 – Battle to get Roy to join your team! ($2.50).
  • Champions Pack – Get all three Champion of Yore pack as they become available ($4.00 – note that Champions
  • of Yore 3 is not yet available to download).

Wii U eShop release: Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2

This week’s Nintendo’s Wii U eShop brings us one new release: Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2.


The game is a collaboration between the popular manga Fist of the North Star and the action-packed Warriors video game series. With the majority of the episodes from the original manga intact, Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 faithfully re-creates their legendary martial arts and the battles between these captivating characters.

If this sounds like your cup of tea and you have $59.99 to spare, boot up your Wii U and go get it.
